A painting for "My Hero"-challenge at Joomcool.com.
So the idea was to create your own hero character and a story for support.

Here's a little background story for this character too:

"Ra'Zak was born into a goblin-tribe called Bloodfangs, and the encampment was located in the mountains near a military fortress which belonged to men. At a very young age, he found interest in the different battleformations and strategies that humans performed at the courtyard. Often would he sneak closer the fort and study the training-sessions of the men, and that seemed quite weird to the other goblins.

The information he had gathered through the years proved useful for the first time, when a rival clan attacked the Bloodfangs. Thanks to the strategy he suggested, the Bloodfangs survived the attack with a little loss. Some of the tribe didn't like this, because he wasn't physically that strong and still gained quite much respect from rest of the tribe.

The strongest and biggest goblin of the Bloodfangs, Gru, challenged him to a duel, which followed the ancient rules of the tribe which forbid the use of any weapons or protection. Ra'Zak lost the fight, and by that he was exiled. He was left in a pretty bad shape and would have most likely starved to death in the wilderness, if a smith called Jonas Ironvale hadn't found him.

Maybe it was because of pity, but nevertheless the smith took Ra'Zak to his smithery as an apprentice when he noticed that Ra'zak wasn't any ordinary goblin, far from the berserker-types of the goblin race. Still he kept Ra'Zak secret from the townspeople. Ra'Zak spent the rest of his youth in the smithery, and Mr. Ironvale taught him many skills during that time. The only condition the smith set, was that Ra'Zak should use the skills only for good deeds, to defend himself or someone close to him. Later on Ra'Zak was introduced to other people. Although he was considered to be a "bloodthirsty fiend" at first, prejudice loosened its grip by time and the people came to accept him.

After a few years living in the smithery Ra'Zak returned to the Bloodfang-encampment to confront Gru, who was now leading the Bloodfangs. Ra'Zak challenged him to a duel, offering Gru his life if he would lose but also the most precious item of Jonas Ironvale that he had stolen for this occasion, a heirloom sword. Gru accepted the challenge, totally underestimating Ra'Zak. Gru was still definetely much more stronger physically than his combatant, but he was surprised how fast and with great balance Ra'Zak moved. The fight was over quite quickly.

Ra'Zak reclaimed his honour in the eyes of the Bloodfangs, and he was chosen as the new leader of the tribe. He told the smith about the sword, and Mr. Ironvale forgave him, although at first he was quite upset about the issue. He decided to give away the sword to Ra'Zak, because he thought that he himself would never need it and he had no other heir.

Since those days Ra'Zak has been leading the Bloodfangs, striking down all the attacks and raids other tribes have tried to perform with his cunning strategies. His knowledge in warfare and forgery has earned the tribe a huge advantage against their rivals. Bloodfangs have even done cooperation with men, when defending against common enemy or clearing the land from evil creatures, thus deepening the bond between the two races."

Before you judge someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you judge them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
